I am currently house-sitting for a close friend, and one of the joys of being here (other than waking up with a Maine-Coon purring on my face) is making a pot of tea and drinking it from beautiful teaware (thanks Tamsin!).
Today I started the day brewing one of my Japanese favourites – genmaicha. This is essentially green tea with roasted rice, also known as the ‘popcorn’ tea due to its tasty aroma. Perfect start to a grey, overcast morning.
